Now click on the 51st frame in the time line. At this frame, we need the ball to be squashed, since it has hit hard on the table surface and is starting to bounce. Select the Scale Tool from the Maya Tool box and scale down the ball a little along the Y axis as shown in the image.
Now if you rotate the persp panel and see, you will notice that the scaling has created a small gap between the ball and the table. If that is the case, using the Move Tool in Maya, move the ball a little down so that it touches the table surface again. Until this moment, the changes that we have made hasn't been stored as a key frame. Hence if you jump to another frame, it will be lost. So press 's' key to register the ball's deformed shape as well as the position as a key frame at the 51st frame. |
